Terms of service

These terms apply to every order placed at Root Ritual. By placing an order, you agree to them. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. Who we are

2. Your order

When you order, we email to acknowledge it. A contract is formed when we email to confirm your order has been dispatched. We may decline an order, for example if an item is out of stock or was priced in error. If we do, we refund you in full.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is taken when you order and is processed securely through Shopify; we never see or store your full card details. If a price is clearly wrong, we’ll contact you before dispatch.

4. Products

We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can. Colours may look slightly different on screen, and sizes are approximate. Please check the size guide before ordering a raincoat.

5. Using our products safely

• Read the label and instructions before use, and supervise your pet with any new product.
• Shampoos and balms are for external use on animals only. Keep away from eyes, and don’t use on broken or irritated skin. Stop use if irritation occurs.
• Flea & tick shampoo is suitable for dogs and cats aged 12 weeks and over. Do not use on puppies or kittens younger than this, or on pregnant or nursing animals, without a vet’s advice.
• Nail clippers: trim a little at a time and avoid the quick. If you’re unsure, ask your vet or groomer.
• Raincoats: don’t leave your pet unattended while wearing one.

Our products are for general care and grooming. They are not veterinary medicines and don’t replace veterinary treatment. If your pet has a skin condition, injury or ongoing problem, please see a vet.

6. Delivery

Delivery is covered by our Shipping Policy. Responsibility for the goods passes to you when they’re delivered.

7. Returns and refunds

Your rights to cancel and to return faulty items are set out in our Refund Policy.

8. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your statutory rights.

9. Events outside our control

We aren’t responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as carrier disruption or severe weather. If a delay is significant, you may cancel for a full refund.

10. Your information

We use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

11. Website content

All content on this website belongs to Root Ritual or its licensors and may not be reused commercially without permission.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The terms in force when you placed your order apply to it.

13. Complaints

Please email tgoode033001@gmail.com. We aim to reply within 2 working days.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in your local courts.
